Kewaskum, Wisconsin, May 15, 2014: Jesse Kremer is one of four candidates for the 59th Assembly District seat that is being vacated by Rep. Dan LeMahieu this fall. The theme of Kremer’s campaign is “Bold Ideas…Conservative Values”. In keeping with that theme, Kremer is sponsoring a unique campaign event on June 13-15. Fashioned after the Gov. Thompson and Gov. Walker Harley rides through the state, this event will be a bicycle ride through the entire 59th Assembly District with the theme “Ride the 59”.

Kremer has stated that he likes the event because it will allow him to make stops throughout the district and meet with constituents along the way in all four counties – Calumet, Sheboygan, Fond du Lac, and Washington. On Friday, June 13, the ride will kick off late morning at the South Town Family Restaurant in New Holstein. Stops on the 13th will include the Mount Calvary American Legion Memorial, the Wade House State Park historic site in Greenbush, and the Dundee Mill Pond Park behind the Hamburger Haus on Long Lake. Bikers will be able to camp on the other side of Long Lake on the 14th for some R & R if desired.  On the 15th, bicyclists will begin with a lunch at Scud’s Buds in Eden and follow that up with breaks at King Pin bowling in Campbellsport, Dairy Queen in Kewaskum, Aiden O’Reilly’s Pub in Allenton, and will conclude just south of City Hall on Main Street in Hartford.

Bikers are not required to take pledges for this fundraiser ride, however, if they do decide to solicit donations, Kremer, an Iraq war and Wisconsin National Guard veteran, has vowed to contribute half of all earnings to a local military veteran organization. This year’s donations will be given to the Fisher House in Milwaukee – a facility for military veterans and their families receiving treatment at the Milwaukee VA.
